The Ferrari 488 GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta), beginning in 2015, was heir apparent to the 458. It is also a variant of the Ferrari 488, featuring a hardtop two-seat coupe. The exterior shares styling motifs with the 458 and features a simple interior that offers little distraction from driving. Ferrari gave the 488 a new engine that is not derivative of the 458. Leaving the engine behind the driver but giving it a smaller (3.9L) V8 with twin turbochargers it puts out 661hp and revs to 8,000 rpm. All power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. In 2016 the 488 was also available in a convertible Spider body style.

The 488 GTB carries on the tradition of the mid-mounted V8 engine. Introduced two years ago, this 488 GTB pushes the envelope in terms of output with a 661-horsepower V8 and a 0-100 km/h time of under three seconds. The top speed is over 325 km/h | 202 mph.
